Has elsewhere ever tried to only accept boring kids who werent likely to be Taken? Like one freshman class that was full of total squares?

I don’t think so – how could you possibly judge that? What they would do in a moment of desperation, how far curiosity will take them, unthinking kindness, a rich inner life of stories and superstitions, a tendency to stare into the shadows or forest or dark water and hope – this isn’t the kind of thing that comes up in the application process, even if for some reason they decided to screen out, say, musicians. People are always going to be people, you know? And that’s wonderful.
