Interesting. As someone who still getting into animation, isn’t there a second stage to animatics where they refine the artworks and sometimes have really polished images for the key framers? In which polished images would fall under animatic?
Yeah, but it’s still not always like…Clean-clean? And certainly not in full shaded color, which is what I meant by “fully polished” (my bad). Often with action sequences where there are a lot of panels, we can just clean one or two and let the animators take it from there. Just speaking from limited personal experience, though.
But, again, the animatic side of the diagram also just refers to the animatics you see all over the web these days! There’s no one official way of doing it.
