I cannot believe we’re getting close to your MetLife shows in New Jersey!
I’ve spent TWO SOLID MONTHS making my outfit for the show. To put it in perspective: I listened to reputation roughly 240 times before completing the outfit (but honestly baby who’s counting?)
I painstakingly hand-sewed the tinsel onto my jacket and danced around my room to your entire discography to make sure everything stayed in place! I burned my fingers more times than I can count on my glue gun to make my crown and attach the rhinestones to my snake bodysuit but it was SO WORTH IT!
Self-titled, Fearless, and Speak Now helped me navigate all the weird things that come with crushes and my first heartbreaks. They validated my feelings and made me feel normal. Then came along RED, this album came out 7 months after a failed 6-year relationship with someone I thought I was marrying. Listening to RED was the most cathartic experience of my life. To this day, I still cry listening to it because I am so grateful that your music was there for me when I needed it most — something you always seem to do! 1989 (our shared birth year) taught me how to overcome heartbreak and remember my strong friendships and helped me find myself after losing my identity in a toxic relationship. And as for reputation, this album taught me to stand up for myself and to take shit from absolutely no one. It taught me to be brave, strong, outspoken, and proud of who I am.
