Context: My girlfriend – Val – and I are co-GMing a Harry Potter RPG we flung together from D&D and FATE rules. It’s her first time GMing (first campaign, third or fourth session), and she’s doing PHENOMENALLY. Her on-the-spot NPCs including Winnie, whose Muggle dad died when he was a baby, are among my favorite parts of play.
Winnie has an extremely high, cheery voice, and it does not falter no matter the tone of his words. Remember this.
Winnie: ‘So how was your summer?’
Carson, a PC: ‘Good! I mostly did Muggle tech stuff with my dad. Y –’
Winnie, interrupting: ‘Wow! I wonder what it’s like to have a dad!’
