Well, one thing I would say is not to dwell on “silences” because if you’re not physically close to friends, you have to learn to respect their lives and that they have their own things going on. Especially if it’s dealing with different timezones.
I think it’s much better to just focus on being there for each other when you need it, and not to just bring up the negatives of “we never talk” or “it used to be different” etc. Because that will just push people away, it’s never fun to listen to constant complaints.
If you can manage that, whenever you DO get to talk, it’ll feel like no time has passed 🙂
