Yea pretty much. In fact my municipality has both Shit Island (Paskasaari) and Shit Pond (Paskalampi).

This is just tip of the iceberg however, names of islands, ponds, lakes and small villages only gets more crude the more you look into it. We just don’t care.

Oh hot damn. That’s kinda bad but funny at the same time.

It’s just kinda hilarious, nothing bad about it. Few other names from my municipality include:

– Hag’s ass (ämmänperse)

– Booze hill (viinamäki)

– Hell’s grave (helvetinhauta) – Hell’s lake is also a thing. Just FYI.

– Thrice ass (Kolmperse) 

– Shit shoal (paskakari)

– Shit swamp (paskasuo) 

– Shitter’s bay (paskatinlahti)

– Shitter’s swamp (paskatinsuo) 

( paskatti on vaikee kääntää, joku muu saa korjaa tän.)

Lot of shit, i will admit. But not surprised, not at all.

This sounds horribly Finnish and doesn’t surprise me at all lolololol
